Dear digital partners,
You may find below March’s important updates about Ybrant’s Digital Marketing products, news from media partners, and important upcoming events.
Facebook Ads now shortened to max. 90 characters:
As of March 31st, the range for all Facebook ads that include a body text (all the ads on with the exception of Sponsored Stories) is 90 characters on the body. Ads that are still running with 135 characters will be allowed to do so for another 60 days (until May 29th). After this deadline, all 135 characters bodies ads will be deactivated. However, as of now you cannot submit ads with more than 90 Characters. Feel free to get in touch with your Ybrant contact for more information. Ybrant FBM.
As ad formats on Facebook become more complex, our teams have designed tools that help understand the types of ads and the required set-up. See more below or contact your Account Manager for more details.
Sponsored Stories showing in the Newsfeed:
From April 1st, Sponsored Stories created via Marketplace Ads are eligible to appear on the Newsfeed as well. Only the highest quality ads in terms of enagement and CTR will get this chance. To date, there’s no way to differentiate impressions received on news feed from those on the right hand column impressions, but Facebook is expected to to solve this within the next couple of weeks.
Improving the CTR by using technology will allow to get better impressions. Get in touch with your Ybrant contact to see examples on how you can take advantage of this.
Timeline for pages mandatory from March 31st 2012:
As you all know, the new design for Pages is mandatory from March 31st. There is an excellent guide by Facebook on the Timeline for brands.
Study shows large increase in engagement with Timeline:
A recent Simply Measured study reports that brands are getting an average 46% more engagement with the new Timeline.
